VALERIE BERTINELLI - HOST OF THE FESTIVAL OF ARTS/PAGEANT OF THE MASTERS 2007 GALA BENEFIT on AUGUST 25
Valerie Bertinelli, who is perhaps best known by her fans as the well-adjusted teenager, Barbara Cooper, on the CBS-TV hit series "One Day At A Time," is scheduled to host the non-profit Festival of Arts and Pageant of the Masters ninth annual benefit on August 25th. In the years since “One Day At A Time”, Bertinelli has proven her acting abilities with starring roles in quality television programs that have ranged from light comedy to heavy drama. Valerie starred in the hugely successful CBS hit series “Touched By An Angel.” She was most recently seen on the Hallmark Channel’s thriller “Claire.” Valerie is presently the new spokesperson for Jenny Craig alongside Kirstie Alley.

The gala will feature a performance of the Pageant of the Masters “Young at Heart”, where the artwork of Claude Monet, Pierre Renoir, Edgar Degas, Edward Hopper and many others will come to life with the help of volunteers during a spectacular living pictures presentation. Other highlights of the gala will include a private viewing of the Festival of Arts — California’s Premier Fine Art Exhibition, the music of David Patrone, dancing, delicious food prepared by Tivoli Terrace restaurant and Chef Molly’s Gourmet Solutions, a 2007 Mercedes-Benz SLK280 give-away and a silent auction. Officials hope to raise over $200,000 for the Festival of Arts Building Fund for improvements and renovations of the Festival of Arts and Pageant of the Masters facility.
Additional guest celebrities scheduled to attend include Cindy Ambuehl, Demore Barnes, Jeanne Cooper, Dyan Cannon, Don Diamont, Peter Falk, Florence Henderson, Anne Jeffreys, Eva LaRue, Joshua Malina, Joe Mantegna, Joseph Mascolo, Donna Mills, Eve Plumb, Gena Lee Nolin, Kathleen Robertson and many others.
Mercedes-Benz Dealers of Southern California, Fidelity Investments, KOST 103.5 FM, The Ritz-Carlton of Laguna Niguel, Time Warner Cable, the Orange County Register, Kendall-Jackson Estate Wines and Montage Resort & Spa are sponsors of the event. The Festival of Arts is a non-profit organization that produces The Festival of Arts – California’s Premier Fine Art Exhibition and The Pageant of the Masters. Its mission is to support the arts and arts education. Tickets for the gala benefit are $50-$300.
